Shell Helix Rally Estonia starts with an attractive entertainment program
The opening ceremony of Shell Helix Rally Estonia is part of a grand entertainment program held on July 12 at Tartu Town Hall square. The evening’s finale is a free concert where top artists from Estonia and Latvia are performing. The rally weekend in Tartu is full of action as the city hosts also Tartu Mill triathlon and 15th Estonian Summer Games.

Eerik Pietarinen is one of the names to remember. Young Finn and his co-driver Juhana Raitanen won last year’s Shell Helix Rally Estonia in R5 category and showed impressive pace in Rally Finland where they were winners of WRC 2 class. They will come back to defend their last year victory at Shell Helix Rally Estonia which is named this year as an Official WRC Promotional event.

From Dakar to Estonia – Benediktas Vanagas drives a zero car at Shell Helix Rally Estonia
The spectators of Shell Helix Rally Estonia held on 12.-14. of July are privileged to see for the first time Dakar Toyota Hilux in action on the stages of Official WRC Promotional event. Benediktas Vanagas who achieved this year 11th place in Dakar, which is best Baltic result, will drive Toyota Gazoo Racing Hilux as a zero car.

Shell Helix Rally Estonia as a first competition for brand new Ford Fiesta R5
The competition in R5 class at Shell Helix Rally Estonia just got more interesting as M-Sport team announced Teemu Suninen starting with all-new Ford Fiesta R5 car. Rally Estonia held on 12-14 of July is an Official WRC Promotional event and for both M-Sport and rally organisers is very exciting to see new Ford Fiesta R5 competing for the first time against its rivals.

Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin starting with Ford Fiesta WRC at Shell Helix Rally Estonia
Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin from M-Sport are the next WRC Manufacturer Team starting at Shell Helix Rally Estonia which is the first official WRC Promotional event. Evans and Martin, currently 4th in WRC overall classification are ready to tackle the stages with Ford Fiesta WRC.

Previous winner Ralfs Sirmacis back at Shell Helix Rally Estonia
Ralfs Sirmacis, winner of Rally Estonia 2016 and one of the fastest Latvian rally drivers is coming back to Estonia. He and Ralfs Igavenš will start at Shell Helix Rally Estonia held on 12-14 of July. Fresh winners of ERC 2 category at FIA ERC Rally Liepaja will drive this time Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X prepared by Latvian team ASRT. The participation of Ralfs Sirmacis and Ralfs Igavenš at Official WRC Promotional event is in cooperation with Pirelli and Sportland.
